Lab canvas

Show Lab Canvas opens a schematic beside the lab. It draws nodes, networks, and links from POST /api/v1/projects/public (file=topology, and file=presentation when that document is present). Running and stopped come from the runtime binding. It is not Open Lab and it does not write the live EVE canvas.

Viewport

FIT is used when the canvas opens and when the lab changes. After a zoom or a pan the mode is MANUAL. FIT, MANUAL, zoom, and pan are not written to topology.yml.

Position

A node drag edits nodes.{key}.position, then reconcile runs only when live apply is on. Drag is inactive in load mode. The viewport is not part of that edit.

Device graphics

GET /api/v1/templates/catalog maps each template name to its EVE description and device_family. The canvas uses that family to pick a graphic. An unknown family is other. The catalog is not desired state and is not written into topology.yml.

NETEM and suspend use the existing live link APIs. A serial link shows serial_impairment_unsupported and is not sent. See Live link quality / suspend.

Capture

Capture starts an HTML5 Wireshark session on a public node interface and opens a tab in the EVE Console panel. The tab key is capture:{node}:{interface}. It does not replace the node console. Closing the tab does not stop the capture container. The agent returns an HTML5 URL on its own origin and refuses evecapture://.

Traffic

Traffic matches arrive from the agent stream (eve-traffic). The webview does not dial EVE. Each match expires on its own timer. Changing lab clears the pending matches.
